Start your day afresh in the morning with a rich breakfast and set yourself for the journey to Sonmarg - the meadow of Gold. On your way from Srinagar to Sonmarg, you come through certain beautiful places worth a visit.

You reach an attractive garden on a hill near Kangan known as Dumping Park on the way to Sonmarg. Visit the famous Thajiwas Glacier in Sonmarg, covered with a blanket of snow for the whole of the year.

After enjoying the trip to Thajiwas glacier, you may like to visit Baltal, a small vale sacred for the pilgrims of Amarnath. After you are done with the trip for the day, you travel back to the City of Srinagar to stay in the hotel.

After a night's stay at the hotel in Srinagar, you will get a chance to visit the Old City, often known as Shehr-e-Khas locally. Have your breakfast and leave your hotel to explore Srinagar. You may love to visit the market around Jamia Masjid Srinagar which is an ancient and the largest mosque in the Valley.

You may later want to visit the Makhdoom Sahab shrine located in the Old City of Srinagar. The shrine is situated at the hilltop from where the whole old city is visible. You can visit the Chatti Padshahi Gurudwara also which is located nearby. The nearby Hari Parbat hill is visible from almost every corner of the old city. After an Old City tour, board a cab and get back to the hotel to unwind.

Tip: You are recommended to leave for Srinagar International Airport 2 or 3 hours prior to your departure. You likely may face rush on the way to Airport because of the stern checking for security reasons.
